     De Vera, J.C. 1965.  To achieve complete boiler water treatment, in varying degrees depending upon content of the raw water impurities, external treatment of the raw water must be accomplished before it is fed into the boiler, internal treatment with chemicals to precipitate the dissolved and suspended solids in the boiler water and to blow out of the boiler these precipitated impurities.
