Waste Treatment Experience in Central Azucarera Don Pedro

     Primero, E.C. and Umandal, J.C. 1981.  Findings show that the change from aerobic treatment to an anaerobic system has not only eliminated the cost of operation and maintenance of the surface aerators, but it has also attained an overall BOD reduction of 98% and suspended solids reduction of 97% whereas NPCC requires only 85-95% BOD reduction.
