VCF Method to Calculate Sugar Yield
Arceneaux, G. 1975. The system described in this report has the advantage of being essentially empirical. Milling qualities of any given variety as compared to a control are resolved to a numerical value designated the VCF (varietal correction factor). Such a factor applied to a sugar yield calculated from crusher juice on the basis of factors applicable to the standard variety will make a realistic and statistically valid adjustment.
