Variable Frequency Centrifugal Drives - A Convergence on Converters

Coleman, J.M.  1995.  The variable frequency drive for the automatic batch centrifugal, utilizing the reliable induction motor provides a combination of performance and energy efficiency not available in earlier drive systems. Two types of electronic inverters are in use –the CSI and the PWM. There is longer experience with the CSI inverter, but the PWM has apparent advantages and seems likely to become the predominant choice.
