     Collado, A.G. and Lojo, A.M. 1997.   This paper presents and discusses the revised and updated code on environment protection by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The initiative of the sugar industry for self-regulation was manifested with the organization of the Sugar Industry Environment Committee (SIEC) and the formulation of its own code of Environmental Management Practices (EMP) for pollution control in sugar mill sites.
