Carvalho, L.  1994.  With improvements in the chemical-physical process in the sugar and alcohol system, the undesirable microbiological processes caused by contaminants became evident. The following describes a microbiological survey in a sugar mill and alcohol distillery in Brazil and the results obtained with the use in grinding two kinds of bactericides: ammonium quaternary and organo-sulphurous(carbamate).
