The Influence of Low-Temperature Corrosion in Oil-Fired Boilers

Fugrad, F.M. Jr. 1964.  The flue gases derive their corrosive properties from the sulphur present in the fuel which during combustion is oxidized to sulphur dioxide and small amounts of sulphur trioxide. The later in combination with water vapour gives rise to corrosive films of sulphuric acid. PROCEEDINGS OF THE PHILIPPINE SUGAR TECHNOLOGISTS. August: 18-23.
