The Effect of Soil-Applied Phosphorous on Juice Clarification

Tapay, R., Gaston, N., et.al. 1998.  The effect on clarification of phosphorous fertilizer applied to the soil was studied on two varieties of sugarcane. Soil application of phosphorous fertilizer increased the P2O5 content of the juice of the two varieties used. There was a significant increase in clarity and color removal at 150 kg/ha P2O5 soil application in Phil 8829 while different rates of P2O5 gave comparable results in Phil 8839.
