Lalor, L.  1979.  The Azucar 80 process of surface treatment of sugar mill feed rolls consists of deposition of wear-resistant cane-gripping globular points, or protrusions, onto the sides and tips of roll grooves on a three-roll feed and crushing assembly. It is a high alloy electrode, which is designed to maintain a constant, self-regulating arc for the bonding of the hard metal globules to the cast iron in the presence of sucrose juice and cane fiber dust.
