Sugarcane Crop Analysis by NIR

Clarke, M.A., Edye, L.A.,et.al.  1995.  NIR analysis was used in the Core Sampler analysis laboratory of a major U.S. sugarcane factory for analysis of finely chopped sugarcane for Total Recoverable Sugars (TRS). The goal of the trials was to determine the feasibility of automation of the cane analysis laboratory, with reduction in personnel and analytical equipment costs, at equivalent efficiency.
