Cole, F. and Clarke, M.A.  1996.  A trial has been made on concurrent grinding of sugarbeet with sugarcane at the Enterprise Factory of M.A. Patout and son, in Louisiana. Measurement of raffinose extracted from the beet in mixed beet-cane juice, by ion chromatography, has provided a measure of extraction of sucrose from the sugarbeet.
