Solar Energy for Corrosion Control in Idle Boilers
Hebert, R. 1984. The energy generated from the sun replace the space heaters to dry the boilers. Solar collectors are used to collect the heat from the sun. This heat in turn is stored in hot water. The hot water is used to heat the air in the boilers by the use of hydronic heater coils and fans. Since the air in the boilers is headed by hot water the less air seepage or leakage occurring into the boilers, the more effective the system becomes.
