Production of Liquid Sugar from Raw Sugar

Bruder, F. and Moroz, R.D.  1981.  Revere Sugar Corporation manufactured liquid sugar by melting of granulated sugar for the sucrose type and partial inversion of dissolved sucrose with acid for medium invert. In late 1940’s and early 1950’s, the company started investigating other manufacturing approaches, such as employing ion-exchange resins which made it possible to manufacture liquid sugar from raw cane sugar without a crystallization step.
