Oxalic Acid from Sugarcane Molasses
Fragante, L.R., Tan, R.B., et.al. 1992. The process of producing oxalic acid from sugarcane molasses by oxidation with nitric acid in the presence of dehydrant and catalyst has been studied. With careful temperature control the process could recover 37-60% oxalic acid on the weight of raw material. The purity of the oxalic acid obtained was analyzed at 96-99.5%.
