More Experiences on the Use of Magnesium Oxide in Sugar Cane Juice Clarification
Madrazo, C.M. 1970. The experience of San Carlos Milling Company on the use of Magnesium, including a comparison of analysis of two evaporator scales obtained after two weeks usage with 100% lime and after two weeks usage with 1:1 mixture of MgO + CaO. Result shows that with low and extremely low purity juices, the application of MgO alone generated difficulties in clarification and filtration and increased melassigenic production.
