Monitoring Dextran Level at Some Stages of Raw Cane Sugar Manufacture

     Garriel, D.V., Ledesma, C.S., et.al. 1992.  This paper presents relevant findings of the dextran level profile in Negros and Panay for crop 1991-92. The Robert’s Copper Method, so chosen for this purpose. Raw sugar samples were analyzed representing the back end of the process. For raw materials, the dextran level was determined on fresh and burnt canes while for process juice, the mixed, clarified and filtrate juice were monitored.
