Modifications in the Zanini-Farrel A Tandem

Biagi, M. and Manfrin, W.A.  1985.  Modification of the Zanini-Farrel “A” Tandem, performed at Santa Elisa S.A. during the last three crop years, included modernization of the cane preparation equipment and installation of a fourth roller (press roller) on all mills. These modification, have improved mill performance significantly from 400.48 tons of ground cane per hour, using the original tandem in 1981 to 502.95 tons in 1984.
