     Carballo, G.A. 1982.  The United Planters’ Sugar Milling Co. (UPSUMCO) pioneered the Mechanical Harvesting in the south during the 1979-80 crop. This paper relates the experiences of UPSUMCO with the machine including the multifarious problems/difficulties encountered in operating the unit under various field conditions.
