How Sugar Centrals Profit from Wastewater-to-Energy Biological Treatment Systems
Gregorio, H. and West Stewart, S. 2003. Central Azucarera de Tarlac (CAT) asked Philippine Bio-Science (PhilBio), a copy in the waste-to-energy field and especially expert in wastewater treatment systems, to review all of its waste streams to identify energy-laden waste. After an initial study, PhilBio concluded that distillery slops, which contain ethanol are readily available to convert into biogas via advance anaerobic digestion systems.
