Handmade Paper from Bagasse and Sugarcane Leaves
Fragante, L.R. and Cruz, I.V. 1998. The main raw component of handmade paper is fiber. Two of these fibers come from bagasse and sugarcane leaves, which are the raw materials used for this project. Handmade papermaking consists of three major steps: pulping, beating and sheet formation. Bleaching and dyeing may be dispensed if the natural color of the fiber is to be retained.
