--------------.  1998.  Biomass ethanol holds enormous potential, as an alternative fuel that will increase the nation’s energy independence, benefit the environment and free needed food resources. The BC International technology makes use of the hemicellulose by replacing the yeast-based fermentation process with a genetically engineered bacterium.
