Feasibility Study for Continuous Sugarcane Diffusers

Schaffer, F.C. and Huckeba, T.H.  1963.  It has long been known that sugar is soluble in water and could be extracted from sugarcane by solvent extraction or diffusion and that the use of diffusion methods could result in extraction efficiencies approaching 100 percent. The apparatus now exist so that continuous counter-current solvent extraction of 98 to 99 percent of sugar in the cane can be obtained. Feasibility Study for Continuous Sugarcane Diffusers.
