Factors Affecting Mill Extraction

Birkett, H.S., Clarke, S.J., et.al.  1986.  Brix curves alone are of marginal use in determining which mills are not performing well. It is recommended that both pol and moisture determination on the feed and discharge from each mill together with the analysis of the front roll, back roll and combined juices leaving the mill be made.
