     Longakit, A.L. 1999.  The paper discusses the experiences of operating a membrane press filter to de-sweeten off and dry carbonatation sludge at Al Khaleej Sugar Refinery located in Dubai, UAE. The experience of Al Khaleej confirms that the use of membrane filter press significantly drop the residual sugar moisture in the filter cake which reduced the sugar losses.
