     Ancheta, T.R. 1964.  The loss due to 1.5% trash of a crop of 1-million tones gross cane would amount to more than PhP1-million. In order to realize maximum profits, it is imperative for cane sugar producers to exert efforts in reducing to the minimum the trash of the cane before milling operation proceeds.
