Energy Efficiency Improvements for a Raw Sugar Factory with a Refinery

          Esmeris, P.P.  2003.  This paper presents the electrical and steam balances applicable to a typical Philippine raw sugar factory with a refinery as a function of the live steam pressure. It is shown that an increase in the live steam pressure and superheat would eliminate the present dependency of Philippine Raw Sugar factories with refineries on bunker, diesel or outside power.
