Electric Power Factor in the Cane Sugar Factory
Arnold, K.S. 1976. This paper attempts to show that in a cane sugar factory the maintenance of a good power factor as a matter of technical policy can provide substantial advantages in improved operation and efficiency of the electrical system, which can in turn contribute to lower capital costs being invested in generators, switch gear, cabling and motors. When power factor is low the costs entailed in correction to a higher satisfactory value will in most cases be fully justified. Electric Power Factor in the Cane Sugar Factory.
