Effects of Milling Delays on Weight and Quality of Canes

Hernia, G.R. and Gregorio, J.V. 1984.  Under Canlubang conditions burnt chopped cane deteriorated 48 hours after harvest, while green chopped canes showed significant increase in deterioration two days after harvest as indicated by a drop in purity. Rendements showed significantly on the second day but did not go beyond the standard of 1.28% until the sixth day. PROCEEDINGS OF THE PHILIPPINE SUGAR TECHNOLOGISTS. August: 154-162.
