Distillation and Rectification in the Production of Water Free Alcohol

De Luzuriaga, E.R.  1980.  There are many processes and many dehydrants available in the production of water free alcohol. There are: the azeotropic pressure process, the azeotropic non-pressure process, the quicklime and other solid dehydrant pressure/vacuum process, etc. At VMC the azeotropic non-pressure process is adopted and use of benzene as the dehydrant. After condensation and cooling, the effluent from the dehydrating column will be 99.5+% dry or water free alcohol. Distillation and Rectification in the Production of Water Free Alcohol.
