Dextran Tests with Roberts' Copper Method as Practiced in China

Musheng, W.  1985.  Dextran levels in practice have never been made clear in the Chinese sugar industry. A research project on dextran has been started in the Sugarcane Industry Institute (Guangzhou), and the Roberts’ Copper Method was used to test the dextran in juice. It was found that several adjustments of the procedure should be made in order to obtain satisfactory results under conditions in China.
