Dr. Jaiswal, S.P.  1984.  In this article strategies adopted and studies undertaken to build a sound data base for evaluation of an undeveloped area for establishment of a large sugar project are discussed. Predictions made during the project preparation stage in respect of important climatic and production parameters are compared with the actual results obtained after implementation.
