Cooling of Low Grade Massecuite

Madrazo, C.M.  1960.  Raising the shaft and coils of a cystallizer to stir an apparently inert layer of massecuite and attaching a chain to the coils to produce a dragging action on the lower portion of the crystallizer, a more uniform cooling of the massecuite has been attained and consequently resulted to a lower final molasses purity.
