Characterization and Decolorization of Sugar Refinery Ion-Exchange Resin Spent Regenerant

     Movillon, Jovita, L., et.al. 1997.  Samples of spent regenerant were collected from an ion-exchange column of a Philippine sugar refinery. Quality parameters like chromaticity, pH, COD(Mn), Cl; total solids and total dissolved solids were determined. Then the effluents were treated with Fenton’s reagent at different ratios of H2O2 and catalyst and different volumes of FeSO4 7H2O solution and different volumes of FeSO4 7H2O solution with respect to total volume of treated solutions.
