Cordovez, F.  1975.  Several Venezuelan sugar mills have found that it is economically justified to produce 70o brix syrup instead of sugar which is trucked to conventional sugar factories for its processing. Syrup mills require less investment, considerably fewer personnel and have a relatively trouble-free operation.
