Biostil – A Unique Process for Ethanol Fermentation
Thorsson, C. 1982. Biostil is a continuous process effected under steady state conditions. A highly concentrated substrate can be fed directly to the fermenter. The ethanol formed is continuously stripped from the fermenting broth and massive dilution of the feedstock is no longer required to protect the yeast from alcohol poisoning.
