Amorphous Refined Sugar
----------------. 1977. Amorphous sugar is little known outside Brazil, where about 1.5 million tons are produced annually, 31 percent of all sugars consumed for household and industrial use. The color of amorphous equals that of refined sugar, while the ash, invert, moisture, crystal form, angle of repose and apparent density differ. The production of amorphous sugar requires less steam than production of granulated sugar, less electrical energy and less equipment. Amorphous Refined Sugar. Sugar y Azucar, May 1977:55-57.
