A New System of Liming

Webre, A.L. Jr.  1975.  The two functions of violent agitation and slow agitation in the liming tank can be separated with beneficial results. An idea was to put the raw juice and the lime through a tank for two minutes retention time with violent agitation and then let this juice, now thoroughly and uniformly limed, overflow to a flocculating tank where it would be relatively undisturbed.
