Hoks, D. 1983. The energy consumption of a sugar factory is, in the present situation of scarcity of fuels, an acute problem. In view of this problem, a new approach in relation to the conventional discontinuous sugar boiling system is introduced in order to achieve considerable energy savings in the sugar production process.
